As Vice President of Engineering, Sean A. Marcus leads the development and technical maintenance of Medicomp’s proprietary medical device products and IT system infrastructure.
He’s extremely motivated, delivery-oriented and considers it his personal mission to make sure the company’s technical objectives are not only met but surpassed.
Sean’s experience leading teams on the front lines of wireless technology spans 15 years. Under his direction, the Medicomp engineering team accelerated the release of two critical revenue-changing products in 24 months. First up, they integrated their “legacy” TTM monitor and new ECG editing software, allowing their volume customers to reap the benefits of the new system. They also launched the company’s first wireless event product.
Prior to joining Medicomp, Sean had an all-star career in the luxury brand automotive industry, where he was part of a startup technology company that participated in bringing the cellular technology to cars. So, next time you tune-in to Pandora in your Lexus or check your email from your Mercedes, you’ll know who helped make it happen!
Sean’s extensive experience in cellular communication began in 1990 when he joined the US Army and was assigned to a special communications unit responsible for testing and deploying an emerging high tech wireless telecommunication system.
Sean earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, a private college specializing in Engineering and Aeronautics after completing his military service.
Sean and his wife are celebrating 18 years of marriage this year and have three children. On the weekends, Sean and his kids help his wife with her start-up catering business, which he enjoys.
