This Hospital System began their two and a half year evaluation process by requesting their current provider to design a Holter network with the above mentioned capabilities. After they failed to respond to the request, senior management from the Clinical Outcomes Department reviewed information left behind by Medicomp and invited them in for a demonstration. Medicomp designed a custom network configuration to meet the demands of the Health Plan as depicted on the enclosed map.
Medicomp representatives traveled with the hospital system’s senior biomedical and IT staff to an existing Medicomp network installed in the area. This was to demonstrate a working network similar to the configuration the hospital system required. After approval of Medicomp’s Epicardia 4000™ software on the hospital system’s Computers, the Purchase Order was placed. Within two weeks, the entire network was operating and the necessary hospital staff was trained.
The turn around time for reports was significantly improved, the technicians can cover for each other when needed, all reports are delivered electronically to the interpreting physicians, the patients love the size of the monitors, and the hospital network saved over $170,000. Medicomp performed back-up scanning while the technicians were training and maintained a seamless report delivery for the hospital’s physicians. A win-win for all!!
